We can't wait to visit 😋
It's a bold claim but the family behind one of Nottingham's oldest Turkish restaurants says their kebabs are the tastiest. But it's not just the owners of Tipoo boasting, customers agree.
"When we were closed for 17 days our customers went to other restaurants but said they can't find the same taste they find here. Don 't get us wrong they are good but they can't find the same taste. Tipoo has its own taste." Cheese-eating vegetarians can choose from cheese kofte and halloumi wraps. Other veggie favourites served include moussaka, garlic mushrooms and a colourful kebab made up of onions, peppers, aubergine, mushroom, courgette and tomatoes.
If you're spoilt for choice and want a personal recommendation Mehmet said his favourites are the ribs and lamb kofte, and the lahmacun. One thing for Tipoo newcomers to note is that the restaurant doesn't serve alcohol - just a range of hot and cold soft drinks. If you work for the emergency services you can bag yourself a free drink with your meal.
"That was the last time we did a refurbishment here. The tables were getting too old, the tables, everything was getting too old so we decided to change them," said Mehmet.

Time-varying intensity of oxygen exposure is associated with mortality in critically ill patients with mechanical ventilation - Critical CareBackground There is no consensus exists regarding the association between oxygen exposure (arterial oxygen tension or fraction of inspired oxygen) and outcomes for patients with mechanical ventilation. Additionally, whether the association remains persistent over time is unknown. We aimed to explore the association between exposure to different intensities of oxygen exposure over time and 28-day mortality in patients with mechanical ventilation. Methods We obtained data from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV (MIMIC-IV), which included adult (≥ 18 years) patients who received invasive mechanical ventilation for at least 48 h. We excluded patients who received extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) or who initiated ventilation more than 24 h after ICU admission. The primary outcome was 28-day mortality. Piece-wise exponential additive mixed models were employed to estimate the strength of associations over time. Results A total of 7784 patients were included in the final analysis. Patients had a median duration of invasive mechanical ventilation of 8.1 days (IQR: 3.8–28 days), and the overall 28-day mortality rate was 26.3%. After adjustment for baseline and time-dependent confounders, both daily time-weighted average (TWA) arterial oxygen tension (PaO2) and fraction of inspired oxygen (FiO2) were associated with increased 28-day mortality, and the strength of the association manifested predominantly in the early-middle course of illness. A significant increase in the hazard of death was found to be associated with daily exposure to TWA-PaO2 ≥ 120 mmHg (Hazard ratio 1.166, 95% CI 1.059–1.284) or TWA-FiO2 ≥ 0.5 (Hazard ratio 1.496, 95% CI 1.363–1.641) during the entire course. A cumulative effect of harmful exposure (TWA-PaO2 ≥ 120 mmHg or TWA-FiO2 ≥ 0.5) was also observed. Conclusion PaO2 and FiO2 should be carefully monitored in patients with mechanical ventilation, especially during the early-middle course after ICU admission. Cumulative exposur

Feasibility and preliminary efficacy of iConquerFear: a self-guided digital intervention for fear of cancer recurrence - Journal of Cancer SurvivorshipPurpose Approximately 50% of cancer survivors experience moderate-severe fear of cancer recurrence (FCR). Self-guided digital interventions have potential to address the high level of FCR-related unmet needs at scale, but existing digital interventions have demonstrated variable engagement and efficacy. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of iConquerFear, a five-module self-guided digital FCR intervention. Methods Eligible curatively treated breast cancer survivors were recruited. Participants reporting clinically significant FCR (≥ 13 on the Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory-Short Form; FCRI-SF) were given access to iConquerFear. Feasibility was indicated by | 50% of eligible participants enrolling in iConquerFear and recording moderate (≥ 120 min) or greater usage. Preliminary efficacy was evaluated via changes in self-reported FCR severity, anxiety, depression, intrusions and metacognitions from baseline to immediately and 3 months post-intervention. Results Fifty-four (83%) of 65 eligible participants enrolled in iConquerFear; six subsequently withdrew. Thirty-nine (83%) participants recorded moderate (n = 24; 120–599 min) or high (n = 15; ≥ 600 min) usage. Engagement levels increased with participant age (p = 0.043), but were lower in participants with higher baseline FCR (p = 0.028). Qualitative feedback indicated engagement was sometimes limited by difficulties with navigation and relating to featured survivors. Participants reported significantly improved FCR (mean reduction (95%CI): baseline to post-intervention − 3.44 (− 5.18, − 1.71), baseline to 3-month follow-up − 4.52 (− 6.25, − 2.78), p = | 0.001). Conclusion iConquerFear is a feasible and potentially efficacious intervention for reducing FCR in breast cancer survivors. Easier navigation and more relatable examples may enhance engagement. Implications for Cancer Survivors iConquerFear may help address moderate but burdensome FCR levels in cancer survivors.
