'They were selling them for like £12.50 or £15 or even a tenner'
A Liverpool family empire which has welcomed generations across the city started from humble beginnings almost 70 years ago.
Mike told the ECHO: "My dad started it with his brother, Peter. They had two other garages and the first one in Walton Hall Avenue. They built that up and things were going reasonably well. The family continued to expand the site, as well as offering a variety of different cars. Mike said: "The cars years ago were like Ford Anglias and Ford Prefects and pre WWII cars the majority of them.
Mike said: "We've extended it to about three times the size of when I took it over. It takes 150 to 200 cars on site here. The car job now is completely different to what it was then. People buy online more and more - it’s just amazing.
