One of the girls died after paramedics were called to the property, and the other in hospital the following night.
Family friend, Kieran Garratt, told 9news.com.au the parents, who have two other children aged five and three, are "broken". "They're really, really, bad, they are just haunted and completely lost, I went and spent some time with them on Friday and it was pretty horrible," he said. Mr Garratt is working to raise money for the family to help cover funeral costs. More than $10,000 has been raised online so far."It's made me extremely emotional about the response, not just the generosity of the money, but some of the messages that has come through from complete strangers," he said.
