An Australian family has been left heartbroken after an Adelaide pilot was killed while working in the United States.
An Australian pilot working in the United States has died after he was involved in a shocking collision, which his wife only learned about when she called his workplace.
The 56-year-old died at the scene. He leaves behind wife of 30 years, Karen, daughter Lauren and son Bailey who are both in their 20s. "He was a great dad, he worked away to support his family and made sure they had what they needed," she said. The pilot's funeral is expected to take place next Monday, with a GoFundMe fundraiser set up by Ms Payne on behalf of Ms Clarke to help afford the cost of bringing the pilot's body back home from the US.
