Vaughn Porter and Jaime Redford Rust were killed after their small plane crashed in northern California. According to the local sheriff's office, the incident occurred shortly after the aircraft departed from an airport. The plane caught fire, and once the fire was extinguished, first responders discovered the victims, both of whom are from Utah County."He's been flying longer than I've been alive," he said.reads: "After losing our mom unexpectedly last year, our dad stepped up admirably to fill the gaping hole left in our family without her. Despite this incomprehensible tragedy, he remained positive, always seeking ways to bring joy and togetherness to our lives.
The family started to get worried when they didn't hear from Vaughn, so they started to google around. "We ended up finding a crash out in California. They had to make an unscheduled stop in Covelo. It sounded like they had to use a bathroom and refuel, and that's where they ended up crashing — shortly after take-off," Kaleb said.
