Reports suggest the gunman in his twenties shot his father, his stepmother and three children
A young man has been killed by police after he reportedly shot five members of his family that he had been keeping hostage since last night. Local reports suggest the man, in his twenties, killed his father, his stepmother and three children in Douvres, a town in eastern France.
The National Gendarmerie Intervention Group, an elite unit of the French police from Dijon, were then called to intervene and had been at the location since around 11.30pm on Tuesday.
