A Perth family is issuing a warning to parents over shock claims a shard of glass was discovered in a bottle of Nurofen for Children. 9News
Nine-year-old Mia Booth said she ended up with the glass splinter inside her mouth while treating a sore throat.
"I seriously spat it out of my mouth and it was a piece of glass and I was like 'wow this is crazy'," Mia told 9News. "We have requested further information and details of the product used in order to support our investigation."Nurofen for Children is made with plastic bottles and syringes in Australia"It really does sound freakish - I've not heard of that happening," GP Dr Joe Kosterich told 9News. "You would have to think it's an issue of the manufacturing process and that somehow something that is a contaminant has ended up in this bottle."
