Megan Holbeck and her family hiked the Yuraygir coastal walk in northern NSW from Angourie in the north to Red Rock in the south. The walk offers 65km of beachy bliss broken up by tiny towns with food and shelter. The family enjoyed long stretches of untamed surf beaches interspersed with coastal communities and campgrounds. Holbeck recounts how the idea for the hike was sparked during a day trip to Brooms Head in 2020, where she saw four hikers heading towards Red Rock.
Four years later, she and her twin sister Laura, along with their five children, embarked on the adventure. They described a steady rhythm of talking and walking over varied terrain, including kilometres along wide, deserted beaches
