A 72-year-old man was killed and a 52-year-old woman seriously injured in a suspected family violence incident in Perth's northern suburb of Clarkson. Police have arrested a 30-year-old man and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

A 72-year-old man has tragically lost his life and a 52-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a suspected family violence incident in Perth 's northern suburb of Clarkson . Emergency services responded to a call at a residence on Elsbury Approach just before 6:30 am on Tuesday morning. Upon arrival, they discovered both the man and woman with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was immediately transported to a hospital for emergency treatment. Police apprehended a man in his 30s at the residence, who is currently cooperating with homicide detectives. Authorities have confirmed that the individuals involved were known to each other and believe the incident stems from a family violence situation. Detectives are appealing to the public for any information that could assist their investigation, particularly any CCTV or dashcam footage captured in the vicinity between 5:30 am and 6:30 am on Tuesday.
