A famous British comedian has turned his back on one of The Project’s hosts in an awkward moment on live television.
Legendary comedian John Cleese appeared on the desk of the show on Thursday night to promote his current Australian tour, An Evening with the Late John Cleese.
“I don’t want to talk about Fawlty Towers,” Cleese replied before Aly responded: “Well it’s not all about you is it? I mean I can ask you about Fawlty Towers.” After turning back to the desk, Cleese shocked the studio by asking: “What kind of name is Waleed anyway? Is it an anagram?”“No. I tried to learn it once. There’s about four h’s and two k’s or something,” the A Fish Called Wanda actor responded.Waleed Aly was left bemused when John Cleese mocked his name. Picture: The Project
