A fan has gone for the ultimate souvenir after UFC 269, just a matter of minutes after Charles Oliveira defended his lightweight title.
But minutes after claiming the famous victory and confirming himself as the world’s best lightweight, a brazen fan tried to get himself a huge souvenir — the glasses right off Oliveira’s face.
Oliveira was draped in a Brazilian flag as he celebrated with fans who knocked his glasses askew before a hand reached out and snatched them off his face. Oliveira turned straight to the fan as the security guards tried to get his glasses back as he looked to the ground in case the fan had dropped them.However, he did get his glasses back, although he was wearing sunglasses in the press conference.
“He wanted to take them and wear it,” he said. “We got them back. The security guys from the UFC took them back.”
