🗣 'It’s so damn cool. He needs to wear it more.' 🗣 'Was wondering if I was the only one who noticed.' 🗣 'Looks weird on him.' Fans have spotted the accessory Lionel Messi was wearing during Argentina's match against Venezuela... 👀
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner was of course wearing the sky blue and white of Argentina, proudly displaying the captain's armband on his left arm while scoring his 80th goal for his country. And as per usual, the face of Adidas sported the X Speedflow boots on his feet. But in a rare tweak to his appearance, Messi was seeing wearing tape on his left wrist. The 34-year-old had apparently suffered a minor injury to his wrist and so taped it out for protection.
He did wear it more often around the 2006-2008 era at Barca when he was wearing the No.19 and had those luscious long locks. It appears as though the last time Messi sported tape on his wrist was against Levante way back in November 2012. Messi scored two in a 4-0 win away from home.He has been seen wearing a red amulet which he then passed on to teammate Philippe Coutinho for good luck.
