Fans have been left shocked by the Premier League's rather bizarre ruling over Diogo Jota's red card during Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.
The Premier League's independent committee has spotted yet another error during Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.
Premier League officials have come under fire for a number of contentious decisions made at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last weekend. The PGMOL confirmed that Luis Diaz had a goal incorrectly ruled out for offside in the first half, as they released audio of VAR's miscommunication with referee Simon Hooper.
The mistake has left plenty of Liverpool supporters seething, while Jurgen Klopp has publicly called for a replay of the match.However, that wasn't the only thing the referees got wrong on the day, with Jota's second yellow card reportedly also incorrect. Jota was shown his marching orders after two challenges in little more than a minute on Spurs defender Destiny Udogie.claimed that the Premier League's Independent Key Match Incidents has concluded that 'the second tackle on Udogie in the 69th minute was not worthy of a second yellow card, with the five members voting 3-2 against a booking'.
