MPs are furious at 'dynamic pricing' which forced fans to pay sky-high prices for Oasis tickets from Ticketmaster. The band have been urged to refund buyers who paid over face value.

The Conservative MP added: “This is clearly ripe for another look. How do these ticket companies conduct themselves and how are the touts getting their hands on so many tickets when real fans can’t?” Ms Powell said: “The scramble for Oasis tickets this week has brought the problems of ticket touting to the fore. Labour has a manifesto commitment to tackle the touts with action coming. We’re committed to supporting fair and transparent ticket pricing and tackling unacceptable behaviour.”
Another Labour MP, Zarah Sultana, said Ticketmaster should be “nationalised” after a day of frustration trying to buy tickets. Fans said Oasis should follow a precedent set by New Zealand band Crowded House, which paid back profits the band had unwittingly made from surge pricing. Music insiders said Bruce Springsteen had given the green light to other superstars after he signed up to dynamic pricing in 2022. Prices for a premium seat on his US tour soared to a high of $5,000 as a result.
The insider pointed to former Beautiful South singer Paul Heaton, who pegged prices to just £35 for his upcoming sell-out UK arena tour, despite being told by promoters to charge more.
