The Leeds United boss is pleased the transfer window has finally closed
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke can breathe a sigh of relief now the transfer window has finally closed. The German head coach admitted they did everything they could to keep Luis Sinisterra at Elland Road this summer, but contractual issues made that difficult.
"Well, you know that I'm always open and honest," Farke said following the draw with Sheffield Wednesday. "I praised Luis more or less since my arriving and we spoke about what a player he is and that he can be an outstanding, dominating player on this level. "The reality is that we have to accept that he went this way and is out at Bournemouth right now. Then it's also a bit tough reality in this moment and to adapt to it and I have to praise the key people in our club because sometimes you feel in such a situation when you lose such a crucial player just with a few hours to go, you can feel sorry for yourself, but now we try to find the best possible replacement for him.
"He's still an age where he can improve. You can't compare him with Luis because he was a proven international player and Jaidon is still young, we want to improve and want to work with him but he has also lots of quality and lots of potential to work with him.
