570 hectares of prime farmland at Meadow Creek in Victoria could be transformed into one of the largest solar farms in Australia. “I don’t think there’s a hotter topic at the moment than what’s happening to farmland, especially in the renewable space,” Mr Jochinke said. “The pendulum needs to go to a position where farmers and their operations are considered early - they’re able to be part of the planning process.
“It shouldn’t just be all on private land; I think the public also has got a part to play with this.”
