In an emotional day of hearings at the inquest into the 2015 Esperance bushfires, two farmers tell the court that requests for backup were repeatedly made but none came.
DFES has been approached for comment, but declined. Senior DFES officials will appear to give evidence later in the week.
The three farm workers who perished in the fires had been working for farmer Dave Campbell in November of 2015.
