Following reports that the Aquaman star was in talks to star in the action sequel, Fast & Furious 10 officially casts Jason Momoa for an unknown role. Plot details are currently unknown on the upcoming installment in Universal's action franchise, though the film will serve as the first in a two-part story to close out the mainline Fast & Furious series.
Fast & Furious 10 will also see the return of Justin Lin to direct both parts of the finale, marking his sixth time behind the camera for the franchise after joining with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and initially departing with Fast & Furious 6.
The official Fast & Furious 10 casting of Momoa comes just hours after reports first began surfacing that the action star was in final negotiations to join the sequel. Sources previously reported that Momoa was eyeing one of the villain roles in the movie, though some reports also noted that the script is still in its early stages and that his role could end up being somewhere between antagonist and protagonist.
With Dwayne Johnson refusing Vin Diesel's requests for Hobbs to return for Fast & Furious 10, some have also taken to joking on social media that the franchise star and producer has sought out Momoa to become the new Samoan face of the mainline movies.
