Could Dante be coming after this F9 character?

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Jason Momoa’s delightfully eccentric Fast X villain, Dante, is plotting to go after the loved ones of Dom Toretto and his crew, which could mean bad news for a missing F9 character. One of the few characters from F9 who didn’t return in Fast X is Han’s new sidekick, Elle. She got an exciting introduction in F9, but she was nowhere to be seen in Fast X.

Han actor Sung Kang has revealed that a scene was shot for Fast X that explained the whereabouts of Elle – she’s currently in school – but it was removed from the final cut. Kang has confirmed that Elle is still very much a part of Han’s life. His affection for Elle is “his motivation to come back,” according to the actor.

Dante Could Be Responsible For F9's Elle Missing From Fast X Elle was introduced in F9 as the daughter of two scientists who were involved in the Aries project. Her parents were killed when she was young and she eventually joined forces with Han after he saved her life. The character was played by Anna Sawai and she was well-received, so her absence from Fast X was confusing.

Dante will continue to terrorize Dom’s crew in Fast 11 – and possibly even Fast 12 if the Fast X trilogy plan comes to fruition – so there’s still time for Elle to return to the ensemble. Since Dante is determined to hurt Dom’s crew by attacking their closest loved ones, Elle is a prime candidate to make his evil plan a reality. The deleted scene about Elle being in school could be retconned if her Fast X absence is a result of Dante’s villainous machinations.

Elle's Fast 11 Return Can Help Improve Han's Story After sitting out Fast X, Elle’s Fast 11 return could help improve Han’s story. The cliffhanger ending of Fast X revealed that Han’s love interest Gisele Yashar is still alive after surviving her seemingly fatal fall from a moving plane in Fast & Furious 6, bringing Gal Gadot back to Fast & Furious. But Han’s most compelling dynamic isn’t his romance with Gisele; it’s his friendship with Elle.
