A fatal police shooting in Paris has sparked a political row ahead of this weekend’s French parliamentary elections, as the left attackedPolice opened fire on a car in the 18th arrondissement of Paris on Saturday morning, injuring the driver and shooting dead a 21-year woman, Rayana, who was in the passenger seat. Officers said the car failed to stop when summoned by them, and then allegedly drove towards them at speed.
