Authorities in Somerset County are investigating the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old North Plainfield man. Steve J. Camino was found shortly after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when North Plainfield police were called to a shooting in the area of Grove Street and Prospect Place, Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Thomas Chirichella said in a statement.
“Responding officers located victim on Grove Street and immediately initiated life-saving measures and requested emergency medical personnel to respond as well,” Chirichella said.“Detectives are attempting to establish a motive for the homicide and to identify those involved,” Chirichella said. “Any potential witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the incident are urged to contact authorities.”
