The bodies of Troy Harvey, 46, and his son Koah, were discovered at a home in Rossville, south of Cooktown, just before 10:00am on Friday.Earlier that morning, a 36-year-old woman told police she was assaulted by Mr Harvey the night before.Police are working to piece together events that led to the tragedy.
Detective Inspector Jason Smith said they were particularly interested in speaking with a person who went to Mr Harvey's home the morning of his death."I would personally like to thank them for the enormous amount of assistance they have provided to police." A relative, who did not wish to be identified, told the ABC Mr Harvey had been suffering mental health issues for some time but had been seeking treatment.The relative said police were still investigating and it was too early to make conclusions about what happened.
