The father who found his two 'happy' and 'outgoing' young sons dead in their Blue Mountains family home has spoken for the first time since their deaths.
Nick Smith opens up on 'unimaginable pain and distress' after deaths of sons Ben Smith and Russell Smith in the Blue Mountains
He tragically discovered their bodies inside the property, while his wife Trish Smith, who he is estranged from, was found with self-inflicted wounds. "Russell and Ben were happy, funny, outgoing boys, and were very much loved by their family and friends," he said via the New South Wales Police. A neighbour who lived across the road left a large bouquet of flowers at the gate where police were set up, appearing to be in tears as she walked back into her property.While a man whose wife worked at the school the brothers went to stopped outside the property with his toddler son and left toy cars behind.The community has been left rattled by the tragedy.
