Council bosses granted the plans but with several conditions
CouncilWe previously reported that an advertisement planning application was submitted to the local authority, asking to erect an "LED digital media wall" at the front of the new"state-of-the-art" building. These include the digital screen not being operational from 12am to 6am seven days a week and the consent being limited to four years, in order to allow the council to consider and monitor the use of moving images.
One person wrote:"We as residents officially object to these screens being erected due to the extreme level of light pollution that will inevitably be caused. No information has been provided to the locality." Another added:"Given the already significant disruption that the Ibrox Stadium causes on a weekly basis, the addition of another disruptive structure in the service of a private business indicates a complete disregard for the well-being of the constituents that live in close proximity to Edmiston Drive."say the New Edmiston House will host a club museum, a new two-storey Rangers Store and a fantastic events space for use on matchdays and beyond.
