Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says we stay dry and sunny with comfortable humidity and temperatures this afternoon in the mid 80s. The 2019 record is 87 for today.
Morning lows fall into the upper 50s and low 60s with patchy fog. Thursday is likely to be a record hot day with temperatures near 90 degrees, shattering the 1962 record of 85. If we hit 90 it will be an all-time record for February in Jacksonville.Friday is just as hot with temperatures pushing close to 90. The record is 88 degrees set in 1962.
A subtle wind shift to off the Atlantic on Saturday brings a little relief from the heat but it’s still going to be very warm and dry. Temperatures on Saturday are in the low 80s inland and upper 70s closer to the beach.Buresh says our next storm system arrives on Tuesday with a chance for showers and temperatures backing off into the 70s.Morning forecast from First Alert Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh.
