Treasurer JoshFrydenberg says the federal government is standing by Victorians as the number of coronavirus infections surge across the state.

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says the federal government is standing by Victorians as the number of coronavirus infections surge across the state. Speaking to the media on Monday, Mr Frydenberg said “the federal government stands with every single Victorian in helping them get through this difficult period.

He said funding was provided for 28 respiratory clinics which conducted more than 55,000 tests, and more than 260 ADF personnel were deployed to Victoria. The Treasurer also said more than 800 Commonwealth officials were working with their Victorian counterparts in community engagement programs and coordinating an effective response to the outbreaks.
