Prime Minister Scott Morrison has unveiled a $328 million action plan to tackle domestic abuse, as part of an ongoing national strategy to curb violence towards women.

Minister for Women Kelly O'Dwyer says the prevention strategies will have a strong focus on raising awareness around sexual violence and consent in healthy relationships.

The plan also extends to supporting men who experience instances of domestic violence. Deputy Labor leader Tanya Plibersek says she welcomes the Morrison Government's announcement but hopes the party will also back Labor's funding packages and its commitment to 10 days paid domestic violence leave.
