An additional $40,000 is being offered to personnel who are at what the ADF calls the "second career decision point" .Long story short, people who agree to sign up to two additional service periods could take home around $80,000 in cash bonuses.Defence Minister Richard Marles says the expansion is about targeting those middle rank personnel in their "7th, 8th 9th years of service" where the ADF has an "issue" of retaining staff.
