Prosecutors pointed to Trump's remarks on former Attorney General William Barr as they reiterated calls for a limited gag order in the Jan. 6 case.

“The defendant either purchased a gun in violation of the law and his conditions of release, or seeks to benefit from his supporters’ mistaken belief that he did so,” prosecutors said. In the second half of the footnote, prosecutors note that Trump reposted a video of someone claiming he DID, in fact, buy the Glock.“It would be a a separate federal crime…”
