Man United enjoyed an excellent start to their opening Champions League group stage game but were dealt a huge blow when Leroy Sane netted the opener.
Rio Ferdinand insisted goalkeepers are "paid to come in and make saves" after seeing Andre Onana let in a howler against Bayern Munich.
"This is a nightmare scenario for Onana," Ferdinand told TNT Sports at half-time. "He's as confident as you like with his feet, but as a goalkeeper, you're paid to come in and make saves. United had started the game strongly, enjoying more meaningful possession and creating better chances. However, Sane's goal seemed to knock the stuffing out of them and Serge Gnabry was left free in the box to make it 2-0 just four minutes later.
