The 65-year-old underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery for breast cancer and later received treatment for malignant melanoma. Royal watchers have expressed their support for Sarah , Duchess of York after the ex-working royal opened up about her double cancer battle to mark World Cancer Day.
In a cruel twist, Fergie’s breast cancer diagnosis was followed by a skin cancer diagnosis months later after doctors discovered malignant melanoma, which was also successfully treated. "I was trying to get my head around exactly whether I was going to see my grandchildren, whether I was going to see my children."
Despite their formal divorce almost three decades ago, the Yorks continue to live together in Andrew’s sprawling residence Royal Lodge.
