A Sky News Australia host has had a heated exchange with a Palestine advocate after he repeatedly refused to outright condemn Hamas’ attacks on Israel.
The fiery clash erupted on air on Friday when Australia Palestine Advocacy Network President Nasser Mashni was pressed to call out the terrorist organisation’s recent incursion.
De Giorgio then asked Mr Mashni if he regarded Hamas as a terrorist organisation given Australia has classified the militant group as such. The Sky News Australia host pointed to Hamas’ charter which calls for the extermination of Jewish people and asked Mr Mashni again if we would condemn the group. "My father came as a stateless refugee because Israel was created on the ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Why won’t anyone condemn that?
Discussion became heated between the pair, when the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network President claimed he would have been invited to speak on Sky News Australia months ago if the network"cared about Palestinian deaths".
