After 10 days, the final evidence has been heard in the criminal case into Tasmania's Hillcrest Primary School jumping castle tragedy.
The final evidence in the criminal hearing examining the circumstances of the 2021 jumping castle tragedy that caused the deaths of six children has been heard in the Devonport Magistrates Court.
The Devonport Magistrates Court convened for an extra day on Monday to hear evidence from Dr Ashok Peiris, a geotechnical engineer called by Rosemary Anne Gamble's defence team. The hearing before Magistrate Robert Webster was initially slated to run from November 5 to November 15, but lengthy legal arguments and objections from defence and prosecution lawyers meant an extra day was needed.
