Months after the first season ended with a shock betrayal, the hit reality TV competition has been renewed for a second round! After hooking the nation on the Traitor vs Faithful drama, a brand new group of 22 contestants will once again enter the Scottish castle in the hopes of winning a massive £120,000 cash prize.
And Claudia Winkleman will be back as host - after becoming one of the most beloved parts of the whole entire series with herOpening up about the show's return, she said 'I can't wait to go back to the castle to watch people play the greatest game on television. I'm knitting a high funnel sweater immediately.'And if you fancy dipping your toes in the world of Traitors, Claudia took to Twitter to encourage potential contestants to apply.
Draped in a hooded cloak and some impressive eyeliner, Claudia can be seen asking 'Can you spot a liar? Could you betray those around you? How would you fare at the round table?' The show is described as being a psychological reality competition, where strangers are forced to play 'the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing, and trust.'
The series quickly became the BBC's biggest new entertainment launch in two years, amassing an impressive 34 million views on iPlayer - and being brandedTalking about the BBC's decision to bring back the gameshow - which became an instant hit after it's release last year - head of entertainment Kalpna Patel-Knight said 'We can certainly expect even more deceit and psychological games for the Traitors and Faithfuls.'As of yet, there's no set release date for the series.
