A Perth financial adviser who stole more than $1 million dollars from his clients and gambled it away has been sentenced to five years in jail.He was found guilty on 36 charges of stealing fundsMark Raymond Sebo, 42, was found guilty by a District Court jury of 36 charges of stealing the funds from the superannuation accounts of eight clients in 2019.
Over 10 days in July 2019, he transferred money to his business and personal accounts, which ended up being being spent on online betting sites.He did not repay any other clients any of their money.Sebo denied any wrongdoing and at his trial in June this year, and at today's sentencing hearing, he represented himself.
