Sanna Marin said her ability to perform her duties was unimpaired during the night in question and she would have left the party had she been required to work.
Finland’s prime minister has taken a drugs test to prove that she was not on cocaine when she was filmed partying with celebrities as fresh video footage emerged.
The party reportedly started at a private apartment in Lauttasaari on August 6 and continued into the early hours at a restaurant in the centre of Helsinki. Marin told reporters she had taken a voluntary drugs test and insisted she had never taken illegal narcotics. She said her ability to perform her duties was unimpaired during the night in question and she would have left the party had she been required to work.
“I don’t want to lose my faith in people,” she said, referring to the leaked footage. She added: “I will continue to do my job to the best of my ability.”
