Three of the crew members were taken to hospital but are safe and "doing well" after suffering only minor injuries.The crew was working to slow the spread of the 15,000-hectare Orroral Valley blaze late last night by mopping up fire trails.

Firefighters had been using a break in the weather to backburn the dangerous bushfire before conditions deteriorate further. The Orroral Valley blaze has been downgraded to advice-level, however extreme temperatures are expected to aggravate the blaze.
