ASX-listed African gold play Firefinch launched a heavily discounted $90 million raise on Tuesday morning, asking investors for a second chance for its Morilla mine.It was offering shares at 6¢ each, a steep 70 per cent discount to the last close. The raising would more than double Firefinch’s shares on issue, taking it from 1.9 billion to 3.4 billion.
Firefinch wanted to follow up with a $10 million to $30 million share purchase plan. If successful, it would take Firefinch’s total raise to $126 million.
