After a grueling heat wave, then a tropical storm, what's next for weather in San Diego County? Here's a look at the weather ahead this week.
The area of low pressure about 300 miles southwest off the coast that was Post-Tropical Storm Kay is still bringing rain chances to portions of San Diego County. The timing of the rain looks to stay concentrated around the 3 o'clock hour over the mountains and deep interiors with chances for it to reach the deserts. Regardless, strong downpours are a possibility during this time period and a flash flood watch could be re-issued.
At the coast, a beach hazards statement will remain in place through 5 p.m. as strong rip currents and surf from 3-7 feet remain a factor. Cloud cover will be fairly prominent again throughout most of the day, a trend that will continue through the start of the week.
