A little extra time was all some people in Orange County needed to dust off their cars and hit the road this morning. They were unfazed by the first winter storm of the season. ZinniaDee_TV reports.
There has been a mix of rain and sleet across New Jersey., it has been more about freezing rain and snow, but not much is sticking to the ground because temperatures have stayed above freezing for the most part. The weather, though, has been a reminder for many to prepare for the winter.
"I just bought some rock salt," one person said."I am preparing, you know, I don't want to come too late when they're out of this stuff." "We're concerned with all of our roadways. We're certainly concerned with our hills and valleys and areas that have shade," said Jeff Paul, Morris County's director of emergency management. We're taking it in stages, as far as storms go, prepping us up for the big one."
"This is nothing. My mom sent me video and they've got tons of snow. This is pathetic," Rhonda Mason of Morristown said.
