Officials say a man has died from the coronavirus in the Philippines in what is the first death reported from the virus outside of China.The patient, a 44-year-old Chinese man, died yesterday after being confined since January 25, Health Secretary Francisco Duque said.
The man is the companion of the first case of the virus in the Philippines, a 38-year-old Chinese woman. An emergency responder of the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in the Philippines. "Over the course of the patient's admission, he developed severe pneumonia," Duque told a press conference.
