One new local case of COVID-19 has been recorded in the Northern Territory overnight, in the remote community of Lajamanu. It is the first case to be recorded in that community.
The Northern Territory has recorded one new case of COVID-19 linked to the Katherine region cluster in the past 24 hours.He is fully vaccinated.
Lockdown orders were lifted in Lajamanu yesterday and Health Minister Natasha Fyles said the community would remain under lockout rules only. She said authorities were currently interviewing the man to determine his recent movements, including any contact he may have had with people from Katherine.
