Getting the first dose of Pfizer into arms of Year 12 students is the 'goal' of the Victorian government before they sit down for their exams in October.
Health Minister Martin Foley outlined the"goal" is for Year 12 Victorian students to receive at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine ahead of the VCE exams.
“We’ll work through the ATAGI advice that we’re all constrained by as to what is safe and appropriate." But on Monday morning Mr Foley revealed there were no longer any Pfizer bookings available due to the high demand as the state neared the halfway point of the one million COVID-19 vaccine target under their rollout.
Last week Premier Daniel Andrews suggested"priority lanes" at vaccination hubs for those sitting their final exams.
