Add a little spice 🌶
"We are refined but relaxed," says Andreas Edlbaue, executive chef at Luca at the Buck, when asked to describe the new restaurant. Suitably succinct for a small plates Italian.
The menu offers "approachable food" that is true to the Venetian region, while also pushing boundaries and adding a Luca "twist". There is also no compromise on ingredients and flavours, as when a dish says it contains chilli on the menu, diners can be assured they will taste them. "We agreed that the Luca brand would fit here and that Spitroast was more fast-casual, and there's a few options already in the town for that. We want to become part of the fabric of Ormskirk."
The team is passionate about creating "a great neighbourhood dining experience" where customers visit so regularly, they are soon addressed on a first-name basis. The venue is set to offer live music, a specials menu exclusive to Ormskirk and community nights designed to welcome families and customers to suit all budgets.
"We are blessed with a few different areas. You can have a formal night, a more relaxed night or just a few drinks in the pub."
