The First Minister has been announced as a speaker at the upcoming Believe in Scotland (BiS) rally. The pro-independence campaign group will host the event in Glasgow alongside Pensioners for Independence with the theme: Independence to end pensioner poverty. On Saturday, BiS announced Yousaf (below) would be attending the rally as a speaker.

Other speakers are expected to be announced in the run-up to the rally, including The National columnist and independence campaigner Pat Kane, who was also announced as a speaker on Saturday. The campaign umbrella group currently has 142 local and national pro-independence groups working with them. Participants in the Glasgow march are asked to gather on Kelvin Way to set off at 12.30pm, marching into the city centre of Glasgow, with the rally taking place in George Square
