Cameron Eaglesham is understood to have been crossing the city's Duke Street, near the Bellfield Street junction, moments before he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Tributes have been paid to a man who died after being struck by a Mercedes lorry in Glasgow on Thursday.
Cameron was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, but sadly the 44-year-old died. His heartbroken family have left a floral tribute and balloon at the scene of the crash. A family member said: "We are all upset and it’s a shock, we can’t believe it. I don’t think it has hit us yet. My dad looked after his wee brothers and they always came with us on holiday, we used to go camping in a caravan when we were younger. My dad treated him like a son.
Police Scotland said on Thursday that the 45-year-old female driver of the Mercedes lorry was uninjured, and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
