Big coat weather on the way 🥶
Forecasters have predicted when the first snowfall could hit parts of the UK, with "colder conditions" expected for Nottingham later this month. An arctic weather front is on course to sweep in, forcing temperatures to tumble down.
"It probably will not be very severe but we will have to wait and see. If it arrives as shown then a day or two of lying is possible, but certainly, the cold is going nowhere fast.". The lowest figures are likely to be in the north, with lows around 5C possible. Temperatures are forecast to hover in the low teens in the south-east. For the areas most likely to be affected by snow, it has been predicted that temperatures will struggle to linger above freezing, with highs of 2C to 3C, on October 28.
