According to 2News meteorologist Chase Thomason, from Wednesday to Thursday, several inches of snow are expected in the mountains.
This advisory will bring snow levels down to the lowest of the season, with a possibility of flurries reaching the benches on Thursday morning, especially with heavier lake-effect bands. For areas including Utah County and parts of Tooele County, residents were advised to protect their freeze-intolerant crops by either covering them or bringing them indoors.In terms of precipitation, northern Utah will experience significant rainfall from Wednesday through Thursday.
Along the Wasatch Front, 0.25-0.5 inches of rain were projected, with potentially higher amounts in localized areas.
