According to Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO of the company, the Alaska “doesn’t fit into any current segment as it combines features of a mid-size pickup with the capabilities of a” due to the “innovative” expandable bed. The cargo area can grow from the standard length of 4.5 feet to 7.5 feet using the “Houdini” disappearing partition behind the rear seats, or grow further to a maximum of 9.2 feet by dropping the power liftgate.
The official interior photos reveal a large infotainment touchscreen in portrait orientation ahead of a huge “gulp cupholder” on the center console and next to an extendable passenger tray hiding under the modern dashboard. The seats feature suede-style inserts and have pouches on their backs, joined by a “cowboy hat holder” on the roof above the rear bench and storage for “flashlights and pens” under the center armrest.
