Kyiv and Kremlin officials are set to meet again after initial talks led to no agreement as Ukraine signed a request to join the European Union amid ongoing explosions in Kharkiv.
The official outcome from the five-hour meeting overnight, which broke down twice, has not been reported but officials from both sides will now return to their respective capitals to consult with officials and ministers.
